<blake_r> I got a systemd question about an issue I am having with MAAS and Xenial? would you be able to help me out?
<slangasek> might be able to
<slangasek> being pulled in several directions at the moment so may be asynchronous
<blake_r> okay hopefully
<slangasek> what's the question?
<blake_r> during maas commissioning we create this file
<blake_r> http://paste.ubuntu.com/14054866/
<blake_r> it should cause the node to poweroff after cloud init finishes
<blake_r> the service never gets ran
<blake_r> I can start it manually and it powers off the node but its not done automatically by systemd
<slangasek> what does 'systemctl status maas-poweroff.service' show at that point before you've manually run it?
<slangasek> and for that matter, what does 'systemctl status cloud-final.service' show?
<blake_r> cloud-final.service - http://paste.ubuntu.com/14055261/
<blake_r> I will get you the maas-poweroff one second
<blake_r> maas-poweroff.service = http://paste.ubuntu.com/14055343/
<slangasek> the only thing I can think of is if the creation of the unit file doesn't happen before cloud-final finishes
<blake_r> hmmm maybe
<slangasek> and /tmp/block-poweroff definitely doesn't exist, right?
<blake_r> yeah i checked that
<blake_r> I even removed it and tested
<blake_r> i dont think its after cloud-final because cloud-final runs after cloud-init which is where the userdata is ran
<slangasek> ok
<slangasek> then I'm afraid I don't have any ideas; I think you should ask pitti
<blake_r> whats the best channel to ask him that?
<slangasek> #ubuntu-devel
<blake_r> okay
