Hi,

I keep on getting following error message with sudo apt-get update command with both ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 in my different machines. I searched about it online and found various soltions of modifying sources.list file. By doing that it gets fixed intermittently but pops up again after subsequent "sudo apt-get update" command. Please help!!


Error message: 

W: Failed to fetch http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty/Release  Unable to find expected entry 'restricted/source/Sources' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
